Thank you for taking the time to browse my website. My name is Joe Quartarone with Bay Colony Wine Cellars and I have been immersed in the industry since July 2001. Before that, my work involved cutting-edge computer hardware sales and various hospitality roles including owning and managing a restaurant/wine bar in the late 1990s through the end of 2000. My dad and grandfather both built homes, so I come from a construction background.
A trouble-free wine cellar that fits your specific needs is the goal that we both desire from working together. Would you agree?
Based on over 20 years of working with clients like you, I understand that the most serious wine collectors are first concerned with maintaining the ideal temperature and humidity to gracefully age wine. Aesthetics come second. They may want the space to be trimmed with the finest finishes or use basic materials and an unassuming wine cellar door.
Conversely, other clients are initially driven by a beautiful design since the cellar will be a highlighted feature of their custom home, restaurant or wine shop. They may or may not worry about the function of proper climate control to age wine if they don’t hold wine long enough or it is not expensive.
No one is right or wrong. It simply comes down to us engaging in a conversation and figuring out your preferences, then presenting you with the best options. Sound good?
Tell me your ideas and the purpose of your wine cellar. Do you have examples of what you want? Please ask me any question about wine rooms. I will probably have a solid answer, but if not, I will discuss it with other experts in my team and my professional network, then get back to you with a solution. Hopefully while you’re on these pages and when we talk on the phone, you will find my extensive experience helpful in designing and building your cellar. I’ll share with you proven advice about wine room construction, critical refrigeration info and unique ideas for cabinet and racking design. You’ll learn about past jobs, in addition to new products and materials and how they can be incorporated into your project.
Perhaps you are looking for a comprehensive plan on building your cellar or wine cabinet. Or maybe you only need wine racking design ideas because your room is already built, and the cooler is installed. Or you’re a bit confused about wine cellar refrigeration and you want to figure out the very best cooling unit for your room.
In any of these situations, it’s my pleasure to assist you. My team and I have personally worked with people in each corner of the USA (often in New England, New York, New Jersey, Florida), as well as in other countries such as China, the Dominican Republic, Peru and Venezuela. They include professionals in the construction, design, hospitality and wine industries. And of course wine lovers.

USA and International Wine Cellar Design, Sales & Installation
Personal Passion for Bocce: I spend my downtime in the world of bocce, often playing casual bocce games at a local club, park or beach. It’s a smooth transition from my daily exposure to the wine culture. You can also find me practicing, coaching and refereeing the more intense “professional” international game called Punto Raffa Volo. As a volunteer VP of the US Bocce Federation and the founder of the Global Bocce network, growing the game is my personal passion. No matter if I am introducing bocce to seniors, youth or disabled people or directing international, national or local tournaments, it’s always a blast. Sometimes you’ll even catch me running corporate team-building and charity fundraising events through Joe Bocce Events. Like wine cellars, these bocce adventures have me traveling and of course drinking great wine with fun people. They take me around the USA and internationally enjoying the competition and camaraderie. It’s a beautiful way to blend my professional and personal focuses.
